Proceedings from HRC Big History symposium published
Monday 19 August 2019

A collection of peer-reviewed papers from a July 2018 symposium convened by HRC Visiting Fellow Professor Ian Crawford (Birkbeck College, London) have been published in a special issue of the Journal of Big History.

The one-day event, 'Expanding Worldviews: Astrobiology, Big History, and the Social and Intellectual Benefits of the Cosmic Perspective' featured some of the most prominent names in Big History and Astrobiology, and successfully created a forum for discussing the relationships between the two disciplines, with an emphasis on their wider intellectual and societal benefits.

The special issue of the Journal can be found here.
